I am seeing so many different and bizarre things lately. This world is quite strange, isn"t it? Maybe those are normal things but I am not used to them as I am just nineteen years old and they may appear to be peculiar only for me, I don"t really know. Few days ago I have seen a man on the street and he had his small stall where he had a nice chair and his equipment. I stopped to check what he was doing and to my amazement a man sat on the chair and let the other man to clean his shoes. That was so strange for me and it was first time when I have seen something like that. Do people actually pay for this kind of things? I mean, cleaning other people shoes can be a profession? I think I heard about it or maybe saw it in a western movie once or twice and I believe this job was called shoeblack? I am not sure, however, it was not the only strange thing that I saw in the past few weeks. Another thing which got me thinking was a big sign saying, I sell gold which was hanging on one of the billboards in our city. It had a huge arrow pointing down at the place where someone was selling the gold. I literary stopped and gazed at the billboard thinking, who buys gold nowadays? Why would anyone sell gold nowadays? I was really stunned by this sign. This really struck me as I had no idea why would anyone sell gold nowadays or why would anyone buy it. We pay with money, not with gold...
